I-House Davis is still rebuilding our programs and services after Covid-19. The rich and diverse programming at I-House is anchored by our signature annual event, International Festival, a free all-day extravaganza of music, dance, crafts, and food from all over the world in Davis' Central Park. We operate from a lens of equity, inclusion, access, and diversity - striving to be at the forefront of conversations around social justice, climate change, and many other issues of global importance. I-House brings individuals and communities together to explore the global issues of our time and to celebrate culture through talks, workshops, seminars, lectures, and events. We envision a community where all people belong. At I-House, we believe that culture, community, and fellowship are the lifeblood of a healthy and vibrant city, region, and society. Today, I-House, as our beloved mid-century modern house is affectionately called, is a space for all community members to celebrate our common humanity, share cultural practices and traditions, engage with our differences, foster civic dialogue, and tackle global issues for a better tomorrow. The initial goal was to serve international students and scholars at UC Davis and connect them with the greater local community. International House Davis has been building community, international understanding, and cultural connections since 1981.
